About SnapSnoreScore
A free, privacy-first snoring analysis tool built to help you understand your sleep better — without compromising your data.
Our Mission
Snoring affects nearly 45% of adults, yet most people have no idea how loud or frequent their snoring really is. Clinical sleep studies are expensive and inaccessible for many. Popular snoring apps often require subscriptions, collect audio recordings, and upload personal data to cloud servers.
SnapSnoreScore was created to fill that gap — a completely free, entirely private tool that gives you immediate insight into your snoring patterns. No accounts, no servers, no data collection. Just open, sleep, and learn.
Methodology
SnapSnoreScore uses the Web Audio API to analyze sounds from your device's microphone in real time. The algorithm processes audio frames of approximately 23–46 milliseconds, examining:
- Volume levels — measured in estimated decibels (dBSPL) using calibrated RMS calculations
- Frequency patterns — focusing on the 30–500 Hz range characteristic of snoring vibrations
- Rhythmic repetition — identifying the cyclical patterns that distinguish snoring from other sounds
- Event counting — tracking individual snore events and total snoring duration
These data points are combined into a Snore Score from 0–100. All processing happens entirely in your browser — audio data is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
