1. Privacy-First Architecture

SnapSnoreScore uses a local-first processing model.

All snoring detection and audio analysis happen directly inside your browser using technologies such as the Web Audio API.

This means:

• Audio recordings are not stored
• Audio recordings are not uploaded
• Audio recordings are not transmitted to servers
• Audio recordings are not saved in any database

SnapSnoreScore does not operate servers that process or store audio recordings.

Your sleep audio data never leaves your device.

2. Microphone Access

SnapSnoreScore requires access to your device's microphone in order to detect snoring sounds during sleep sessions.

Your browser will request explicit permission before microphone access is granted.

You can choose to:

• Allow microphone access
• Deny microphone access
• Revoke access later in your browser settings

In most browsers, microphone permissions can be managed by clicking the lock icon in the address bar.

Audio from your microphone is analyzed in real time using the Web Audio API.

Important details:

• Audio is not recorded
• Audio is not saved
• Audio is not transmitted
• Audio is processed in very small analysis frames and immediately discarded

Typically, each frame contains 1024–2048 samples (approximately 20–50 milliseconds of sound) and is deleted immediately after processing.

3. Local Data Storage

SnapSnoreScore stores certain session information locally in your browser using localStorage.

This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to SnapSnoreScore or any third party.

Stored information may include:

• Snore Score (0–100)
• Snore level classification
• Session date
• Session duration
• Peak volume measurement
• Number of detected snore events

This information allows you to review your sleep sessions and track trends over time.

You may delete this data at any time by:

• Using the Clear History feature in the application, or
• Clearing website data through your browser settings.

4. No Advertising Tracking

SnapSnoreScore does not use advertising cookies or tracking technologies.

Specifically, we do not use:

• Behavioral advertising systems
• Cross-site tracking pixels
• Device fingerprinting
• Advertising networks

SnapSnoreScore does not sell, rent, or share user data with advertisers.

5. Cookies and Analytics

SnapSnoreScore uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the website and to improve performance and usability.

We use Google Consent Mode v2, which means:

• Analytics cookies are disabled by default
• Cookies are activated only after user consent through the cookie banner

If you decline cookies, analytics will operate in limited cookieless mode, which collects only anonymous, aggregated statistics.

6. GDPR and Data Protection

SnapSnoreScore is designed to minimize personal data processing.

Because all snoring analysis happens locally on the user's device, SnapSnoreScore does not collect or store personal audio data on any server.

Microphone access requires explicit user consent, consistent with GDPR Article 6(1)(a).

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users typically have rights including:

• Right of access
• Right of rectification
• Right of erasure
• Right to data portability

Since SnapSnoreScore stores session data only locally in your browser, you already have full control over your information and may delete it at any time.

7. Shareable Score Cards

SnapSnoreScore allows users to generate shareable images of their Snore Score.

When you choose to share a score:

• A PNG image is generated locally on your device using the HTML Canvas API
• The image contains only your Snore Score, snore level classification, and SnapSnoreScore branding

The image does not include:

• Audio recordings
• Personal information
• Device identifiers
• Location data

SnapSnoreScore does not have access to your social media accounts or contacts. Sharing your score is entirely optional and controlled by you.

8. Children's Privacy

SnapSnoreScore is not intended for children under the age of 13, or 16 in the European Economic Area.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements to the service or changes in legal requirements.

When updates occur, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
