SnapSnoreScore uses the Web Audio API built into modern browsers to analyze sounds picked up by your phone's microphone while you sleep. The algorithm performs real-time frequency analysis using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) to identify the characteristic acoustic signatures of snoring.
Snoring sounds typically fall in the 30-500 Hz frequency range, with the primary fundamental frequency usually between 100-300 Hz. SnapSnoreScore detects these low-frequency vibrations, measures their intensity in decibels, counts individual snore events, and tracks their duration throughout the night. Your final Snore Score (0-100) is calculated based on a combination of these factors: snore event frequency, average and peak volume, total snoring duration, and the consistency of snoring patterns.
